Access to the cabinet and the equipment is gained by ringing “999” and asking for “Ambulance”. Ambulance Control will provide the Emergency Access code for that particular cabinet to give access to the defibrillator.
This can be used by anyone in the community even if the event happens in your own home. Ambulance
Control can direct the caller to the nearest Emergency Access Cabinet and
provide them with the required access code.
The defibrillator is very easy to use and will give you 'verbal' instructions on how to operate it when you switch it on.
The defibrillator is tagged so it can be located and returned after it has been used.
