Ewart Play Area Opens After Major Refurbishment
Published: 19 July 2022
The play area at Ewart Rec was re-opened after a major refurbishment on what turned out to be the hottest day on record. Cllr Sandra Delemare (Chair of Amenities) cut the ribbon at the brief ceremony in the early afternoon. As school finished lots of children and their families came down to explore the new equipment which has been designed to meet a range of ages and abilities. The zip wire has been renewed. The play area also features a wheelchair carousel, 2 climbing frames with slides one for younger, one for older children, two trampolines, cradle swings, high swings, a shell swing, and a 'me to you' swing.
The refurbishment is part of a cyclical refurbishment programme of play areas within Hythe & Dibden
