YOUR COMMUNITY SAFETY TEAM
The Council has set up a Community Safety team dedicated to the Parish.

We are your two dedicated Accredited Community Safety Officers currently covering the Parish of Hythe and Dibden. We are employed and provided by Hampshire County Council but are funded and tasked by the Parish Council. We have been covering the area since September 2007, although officers have been funded and been present in Hythe and Dibden since June 2006.

We are not an emergency service, but we do provide an additional uniformed presence in the Parish and work to promote Community Safety and combat low level crime and anti-social behaviour.

We are easily recognisable in our distinctive uniforms, and have possibly already seen us around in our vehicle which bears the Parish Council logo and contact details. We also patrol on our mountain bikes and on foot around the area.

We are not a 24hr service, but we do cover a range of shifts over a four week rota which includes essential times (e.g. every Friday night is covered in the Parish).

We are currently revamping our part of this website and hope to provide you the community with as much information about our role as possible. If there is anything you think we could add to these pages please do not hesitate to put forward your ideas.

We wish to be approachable and accessible to you at all times, so please contact us with any of your local community safety issues.
